Pre-Interview Workout

I had an interview at a large high-rise in downtown Chicago. The front desk told me the office was on the 45th floor. I went up the elevator and got off on the 45th floor. I looked around and did not see any signs for the company I was interviewing with.

I asked a rather uninterested secretary for the company that was on the 45th floor where I could find the company in question. She told me they were on the 44th floor and pointed me to the stairs in the hallway.

I innocently stepped into the stairwell, only to discover that every door is locked until you reach the first floor exit. The interview was in 20 minutes, so I quickly ran down 45 flights of stairs. By the time I got to the interview, I was sweaty, out of breathe and flustered. The interview still went well but I took another job before they got back to me with an offer.
