Man shows up for job interview naked, high on meth
A man showed up for a job interview near Sacramento naked and high on methamphetamine, and now cellphone footage of his fight with police has gone viral.
The Babysitter
I was told one evening as the workday ended, that the Attorney decided after interviewing three people for the receptionist position, he had made his decision and he hired “his babysitter”. She too had a lot of legal experience.
Pre-Interview Workout
I had an interview at a large high-rise in downtown Chicago. The front desk told me the office was on the 45th floor. I went up the elevator and got off on the 45th floor. I looked around and did not see any signs for the company I was interviewing with.
I asked a rather uninterested secretary for the company that was on the 45th floor where I could find the company in question. She told me they were on the 44th floor and pointed me to the stairs in the hallway.
I innocently stepped into the stairwell, only to discover that every door is locked until you reach the first floor exit. The interview was in 20 minutes, so I quickly ran down 45 flights of stairs. By the time I got to the interview, I was sweaty, out of breathe and flustered. The interview still went well but I took another job before they got back to me with an offer.
Five Minute Break?
I was interviewing a candidate with years of experience in a certain IT field. When I asked him what should have been a fairly simple question, he stammered, got defensive and finally asked if he could have a five minute break since he “was so tired.”
When I then dismissed myself to bring in the next interviewer he said he was not expecting to be asked such difficult questions. The question was an “easy” problem for our department.

Interviews: When fashion turns deadly…
Brawl in the Hall
I show up on time for my interview and am ushered to a waiting area, and this lady greets me “Here for an interview?” I told the young lady yes. “I’ll find her for you.” As soon as she turned around this woman came storming out a door, passed the friendly gal, “Oh, I see you’ve met the other one. Ready for interview?” That interview just kept going down hill as the two just kept slugging it out at each other as they passed certain areas of the department. When the aggressive interviewer entered the main work area, everyone froze and cowered at their workstations and never looked at her. The place was silent and open and devoid of anything on their desks. Thank God I didn’t get a callback.
Not My Job
I got a call that this company wanted to interview me that morning at 11am. Alarmed I was eight hours away in another state. My agency was able to negotiate the next day for 9am. So I quickly loaded up the car and packed two weeks of clothes because the company hiring wanted the person to start on Monday. So I fly down the highway, check into a hotel and am ready for the interview. I drove to the job site that evening so I was familiar with how much commute time, etc. I get to the job, the interview progresses and I’m following the progression of questions that matched the 15 questions they had me submit to answering two days before. I think to myself this is a check and balance to see if they can catch me lying about what I submitted. Then at the end of the interview they throw me this HUGE snowball and ask me if I’ve ever heard of “NOT MY JOB”. I told them yes of course, and I didn’t believe in it that I believed in working for a team environment. “Well Not My Job Lives In This Department!” How to handle that response? So the interview ended and as I was being escorted out to the lobby, it was like all the hounds came out of their cubes trying to get a look at me and size me up. I had hotel reservations till Sunday morning, and the agency tried to get an answer from the company Friday afternoon and got a RUDE out of office reply. I ended up extending my reservation for a week expecting a quick job start up only to be told on Wednesday that the agency FINALLY got a response that they selected someone else over the internet.
